Arsenal Loan Watch: Silva Shines And Afobe Scores Again

Wellington Silva – UD Almeria
Wellington Silva was given his first start for the Rojiblancos in the 1-1 draw against Cordoba this weekend. Silva tried to make things happen by completing five of his eight take-ons, setting up two shots, and stretching play. He was given high praise by the fans for his performance. More to come from him.

Austin Lipman – Boreham Wood
Austin Lipman was in the starting line-up again for “The Wood” against Chelmsford City. However, Lipman failed to continue his good form and was subbed off in the 76th minute.

Jon Toral – Brentford
Last we heard of Jon Toral, he provided an assist and played his best game for Brentford, statistically speaking. In Brentford’s most recent match, Toral came off the bench in the 75th minute to see the Bees win 3-2 against Sami Hyypiä’s Brighton & Hove Albion.

Benik Afobe – MK Dons
Benik Afobe continued to be a great goal scoring force for MK Dons. He scored the opener in the Dons’ win against Barnsley, which ended 3-5. Getting his goal tally to six goals in eight games.

Ryo Miyaichi – FC Twente
Ryo finally made his FC Twente debut this past weekend. The Japanese international came on in the 70th minute in FC Twente’s 2-1 win over the Go Ahead Eagles.

Carl Jenkinson – West Ham United
Carl Jenkinson also made his West Ham debut on Monday against Hull City, coming back from a lengthy injury. He had a quiet game in a very exciting match to watch. In the 14 minutes the England-international was on, he completed four passes, completed one tackle, and one ball recovery.
