Arsenal Leading Race To Sign World Class Forward – Could Happen In January

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus.

The German international is stalling on a new contract with the club, and is expected to leave in the summer. He has a £30million release clause which comes into play in the summer, but Arsenal could get their man if they move in January.

Dortmund will be keen to avoid losing another star to rivals Bayern Munich, and they’d be powerless to resist against that if they were to wait until the summer to do a deal.

A bid in the region of £35million could be enough to see Arsenal land him. The key is that Arsenal are doing groundwork on a transfer already – as are many other clubs.

The Gunners are heavily stocked in their forward department, but replacing the faltering duo of Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski with Marco Reus seems to make perfect sense.

Reus has the quality to play in any of the positions across the front three and is a world class player. I really hope we can make this one happen, and make it happen in January. If we wait until the summer, I’m sure the German will become another player to move to the Munich madness.
